Topics: Current issues in mediation to include
(a) the development of ADR as part of the civil justice system in Northern Ireland.
(b) a view on the present uptake of ADR .
(c) the influence of client led and other incentives to greater use of ADR.
(d) sporadic developments -v- legislative intervention.

Turlough O'Donnell SC is a former chairman of the Bar Council of Ireland. He is also a former chairman of the Bar Council's ADR committee. Mr O'Donnell is one of the leading mediators working in Dublin.
Alva Brangam QC is a Barrister and Mediator based in the Bar Library in Belfast. He is noted for the range and depth of his mediation experience and has lectured in this area at Queen's University, Belfast.
