Family Mediation NI

Description: Family Mediation NI (FMNI) offers an alternative to the adversarial process to those who are experiencing relationship breakdown. Trained professional family mediators work across the North of Ireland offering an impartial, independent, confidential, child focused and all issues mediation service to separating couples and those involved in other family disputes. FMNI is registered with the HMRC as a charity and registered as a Company at Company House.
Service: We are currently in receipt of funding from the Health & Social Care Board to provide the service free to those parents who have not entered the family court system. We promote early intervention and provide a facilitative model of mediation, assisting separated parents to negotiate an agreement suitable to the needs of their family. We encourage parents to permit the voice of the child to be heard as a part of the process. We provide a family mediation foundation training course approved by College of Mediators London. |

Description:The Employment Equality Act 1998, which established the Equality Tribunal, provides a statutory framework whereby the Equality Tribunal mediates and/or investigates claims of unlawful discrimination in accordance with the provisions of the Act. The Equality Tribunal is independent and quasi-judicial and its decisions and mediated settlements are legally binding.
Services: The Equality Tribunal is the accessible and impartial forum to remedy unlawful discrimination. It is an independent statutory office which investigates or mediates complaints of unlawful dicrimination. It operates in accordance with the principles of natural justice and its core values are impartiality and professionalism, accessibility and timeliness. |

Description: IACTO is the national representative organisation for the voluntary Boards of Directors of community training centres. Established in 2000, IACTO provides management services to promote and enhance the delivery of quality training outcomes. IACTO is a company limited by guarantee not having a share capital. The liability of the Directors is limited.
Service: Nationally, IACTO supports local CTC boards in their employer function and represents Boards in collective negotiations with the Trade Unions, FÁS and other relevant bodies. The board members of IACTO are elected by the membership at the AGM. Individual boards are responsible for the implementation of collective agreements, and are required to communicate with IACTO and FÁS in relation to staffing issues in accordance with agreed procedures. |

Mayo Community Mediation Service |
Description: Mayo Community Mediation is a not-for-profit, countywide mediation service that uses trained mediators certified and accredited by the Mediators Institute of Ireland (MII) which is the Professional Association for Mediators in Ireland. All mediators with our service have signed up to the MII code of ethics and are committed to ongoing professional development.
Services: To provide people in conflict with a safe place to voice needs and interests, listen to each other and negotiate fair solutions. The Mayo Community Mediation Service is free and confidential. |
