In light of the growing need and interest in Elder Mediation, the MII contracted Hayes Solicitors to deliver the Legal Aspects of Elder Mediation training, w/c 20 June 2011. The training was part of the ongoing support by the MII of approved Mediators who are interested in practising in the area including those who are pursuing international accreditation in Elder Mediation.
The interactive training included the use of particular cases to explain some of the finer legal concepts and the use of case studies to embed the links with Elder Mediation practice.
Details for autumn trainings and examination for international accreditation are being finalised.
