General Profile
My background education in Psychotherapy coupled with extensive experience working with individuals dealing with addiction issues has equipped me with insights into people's emotional needs during times of distress.
In the majority of cases where relationships break down, it's a profoundly challenging and distressing time, particularly for the children involved. When interactions with your partner become strained, it's common to feel unheard and misunderstood, leading to strong emotions like hurt, anger, and frustration. These challenges hinder effective communication and collaboration, making it difficult to find a way forward.
With extensive experience in Family Mediation Services, specializing in mediating disputes during separation, I've amassed hundreds of hours addressing these challenges. I offer tailored solutions for separating families and excel in navigating complex emotions. My expertise ensures that both people feel genuinely listened to and respected - a crucial step in successful conflict resolution.
I achieve these results by being a present and active listener who will guide your discussions in a constructive direction. My role is to be fair and impartial, to identify what is important to you and why a particular issue matters. Crucially I help you explore all of your options so you can recognise your own solutions. I will strive to understand both of you and use my neutral position to bring mutual understanding back into the discussion as conflict between people makes it difficult to see opposing points of view.
Trust is essential in the mediation process and you will feel it with me because I bring genuine care and empathy to my work as a compassionate, professional and confidential couple separation mediator.
Seeing people resolving conflict to find new pathways to better collaboration and understanding is a passion that drives me every day. I am not affected by past hurts and grievances that can cloud perceptions or judgment. I will identify where the gaps to agreements are and help build a bridge to cross them in a way that restores dignity, respect and peace of mind.
I am a fully insured mediator, certified by MII and the IMI. I specialize as an Advanced Specialist in the John Haynes model of Comprehensive, All-Issues Family and Separating Couples. Additionally, I received training with the Legal Aid Board’s Family Mediation Services.I have extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of family law and have successfully brought many cases to a satisfactory, signed Mediation Agreement.
