Course Structure: 40 hours training and 20 hours MII approved assessment

Course Aim: the aim of the course is to train individuals to become certified mediators and to provide an excellent understanding of the mediation process.
Certified member of the MII and founding member of the Mediation Academy of Ireland. John has worked as a senior lecturer in Communications Studies at the Garda College, Templemore. He is registered with Teaching Council of Ireland for further Education with qualifications in Legal Studies from DIT Dublin. Currently John is working as mediator with the Cavan Family Resource Centre. In addition he works as tutor with trainee solicitors in Mediation workshops with the Law Society of Ireland and as adjudicator for national & international mediation competitions.
Marty Lynch is a Certified Mediator from Cavan. He has been working as a mediator since 2008. His experience includes taking cases in community, neighbourhood, workplace, family and separating couples. His interest in mediation and alternative dispute resolution stems from his involvement with cross border and peace building organisations, in the border regions.
