General Profile
Aldagh McDonogh, working nationwide but predominantly in Dublin and Kerry, helping people resolve conflicts and disputes with compassion and professionalism. With a lifelong love of learning, I did a Masters in Cyberpsychology focusing on evolving Leadership challenges.
This led to an interest and belief in the power of Mediation and Conflict resolution, so I subsequently became accredited with the Mediators Institute of Ireland. Both fields complement and enhance the other. Mediation creates an incredible space for people to really hear and be heard, while conflict coaching builds the skills and confidence of an individual who finds themselves involved in a conflict.
Both empower and facilitate people and help move towards a resolution.
With decades of business experience in Corporates, Boardrooms, SME’s and my own entrepreneurial business, I bring particular lived experience to workplace, employee, boardroom and commercial scenarios.
While recently researching my family history, I discovered something serendipitous that cemented my commitment and belief in the power of Mediation. Back in the early 1900’s, my Great Grandfather was a Midlands farmer and was well known in his locality as “Frank The Fixer”. He worked tirelessly to mediate any disputes that arose in the community (usually over land, love or livestock). Working from a belief that getting people together to talk out their issues, was preferable to enduring fallouts and unwanted escalations.
I bring the common sense and belief in the power of listening of Frank The Fixer into my work over 100 years later.
