Gerard has 39 years’ experience, mostly at senior management level, in the local authority and semi state sector. He has extensive experience in the human resources area. He has undertaken HR investigations for the private sector and national organisations.

During his time in the local authority sector, he represented the Council at Rights Commissioner, Conciliation conferences and Labour Court (WRC) hearings on a variety of workplace related matters. He also successfully represented his semi state employer in High Court challenges to its disciplinary processes. He has a track record of overseeing and leading workplace investigations at senior level.

Having operated at senior level for a long number of years Gerard has an in-depth familiarity with the issues that arise in change management process and workplace related conflicts.

Gerard can facilitate mediation either in person or on platforms including Zoom and MS Teams.
