John Deaton is an architect with over 30 years experience. He is an arbitrator/mediator member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

He is on the R.I.A.I. panel of arbitrators, conciliators and mediators. Member of the Irish Commercial Mediators Association.
He is a member of the committee of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Ireland and founder/chairperson of their Planning and Environmental Mediation Group.

John is a married man with two grown up children. His experience in life and work has convinced him of the value of negotiation and mediation. As a member of Comhaltas Ceoltóirà Éireannn he has a particular interest in dispute resolution in voluntary bodies in addition to his main discipline which is planning and construction.

Accredited Workplace Mediator. Past director of the Architects Benevolent Society and currently the R.I.A.I. nominee on the Heritage Contractor’s Assessment Board. He has written extensively and works to promote the use of mediation in dispute resolution.
