Nigel D. Allen graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1989.  Following further study he qualified as a solicitor in 1994.  He established Nigel D. Allen & Co. Solicitors in 1996 offering a full range of legal services to clients locally, nationally and internationally.
 
He was appointed as a Notary Public by the Chief Justice Supreme Court of the Republic of Ireland on the 15th day of July 2004.  His appointment covers the County of Wexford and he is commissioned for life.  He serves on the Governing Council of the Faculty of Notaries Public in Ireland.
 
He qualified as a Mediator in 2012 and is an accredited member of the MII (Mediators' Institute of Ireland).  He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.   He works as a volunteer mediator with Community Law & Mediation, Coolock, Dublin 17.
