Polly has worked in education (Brixton, London and Northern Ireland) as a teacher deputy head teacher and policy contributor since 1994.
Her professional and academic interest in family welfare, psychology studies with the Open University and training with SIASMA led her to train as a family mediator with Family Mediation NI in 2011.
From training Polly signed a service level agreement with FMNI and has worked for them as an employed mediator since September 2013.
Continuing professional development combined with a variety and diversity of work in the family sector has given Polly a breadth and wealth of experience that is reflected in her client’s positive outcomes and feedback. Polly has recently started training as an Elder Mediator and is currently pursuing the EMIN qualification. Accredited with EMIN as EM.CERT in May 2018.
Polly is a practicing mediator accredited with The Mediators 'Institute of Ireland and an accredited All Issues Mediator with the College of Mediators UK.
Polly is an accredited PPC with The College of Mediators UK
Child Inclusive Mediation - Completed training 2022 with NFM.
Currently sitting on the Professional Standards Committee for The College of Mediators UK.
