Facing into marital mediation is daunting, no doubt about that, but my experience with Rachael McDaid was made easier by her compassion, empathy and understanding. Having the sessions broken into individual time with Rachael and then coming together at the end made me feel understood and that I had a voice and so was able to speak honestly and without fear. Was it still emotional, draining, upsetting? – indeed it was – but Rachael encouraged me so much to stay with the process and avoid a contested court divorce and I will be forever grateful to her for that.
