    Overview & Learning Outcomes

The Certified Mediation Training Programme is a sevenday, inperson professional training designed to give participants a comprehensive understanding of mediation and the practical skills required to manage workplace and organisational conflict effectively. This programme is accredited by the Mediators’ Institute of Ireland (MII) and, together with successful completion of the followon Assessment Day, leads to eligibility to register as a Certified Member of the MII.

    Learning Focus
Participants explore mediation both as a mechanism for dispute resolution and as a practical, structured process suitable for a wide range of workplace and organisational conflicts. The programme introduces and applies a recognised fivestep mediation framework, enabling learners to understand how to manage each stage of the mediation process confidently and ethically.

    Throughout the modules, participants examine:

    * The role and responsibilities of the mediator, including neutrality, confidentiality, and process management

    * The types and causes of conflict, and how conflict dynamics influence communication and behaviour

    * Their own personal skills development needs, with opportunities to strengthen active listening, questioning, reframing, and facilitation techniques

    * The reasons why mediation is becoming increasingly prominent across Irish workplaces, public services, community settings, and commercial environments
