MII EGM 25th September 2024 at 19.00 – 20.00
Please register for our Extraordinary General Meeting, held at the request of our board of trustees, in accordance with the provisions of our Constitution and Byelaws, to vote on two proposed resolutions.
The meeting will be chaired by Orla Tompkins, MII Hon. Secretary.
Here are the main changes being proposed and the rationale.
We’re proposing to amend our MII Constitution and Byelaws, to change the composition of the Board and modernise some provisions.

The purpose of this general meeting, held at the request of trustees, in accordance with the provisions of our Constitution and Byelaws, is to vote on the following resolutions:
Special Resolution 1
Proposed changes to the MII Constitution and Byelaws to streamline the structure of the MII as advised by the independent corporate governance review 2021 and the charities regulator. Smaller number of trustees as advised to achieve effectiveness and accountability. To have a Deputy President to assist the President and have a President Elect to assure consistency and succession.
Special Resolution 2
Proposed changes to the MII Constitution and Byelaws to address qualifications required for positions and consistency in qualifications required for Sector Heads, Council and Executive.
